We are encouraging patients to order their repeat medications using their NHS account either using the NHS App on their smartphone, or computer.
Doing this means that the request goes directly into our system and helps to prevent requests going missing between patient and doctor. It also means that you can order medicine when you need it, instead of it being ordered on your behalf, when you do not need it or something has changed.
Download the NHS App on your smartphone:
iOS (iPhones/iPad) https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/nhs-app/id1388411277
or access via your computer here: www.nhsapp.service.nhs.uk/patient/prescriptions
If you have not logged in to your NHS account, or downloaded the NHS App before, you will have to verify your identity – this is to ensure that only you can access your medical information.
For more information about prescriptions using your NHS account to order prescriptions please see the following page: https://www.nhs.uk/nhs-app/nhs-app-help-and-support/prescriptions-in-the-nhs-app/ordering-a-prescription/
If you switch to online ordering instead of using your pharmacy, you should let them know so they don't duplicate the order for you.
