Winter Flu Season

The date of our first Saturday Flu Clinic is 24th September. We will be open from 8.30am to 12.15am and offer booked and walk in appointments. Book early and reserve your place to protect you from what can be a particularly nasty illness.

You are eligible to have a vaccine if you:

  • are aged 65 years or older
  • are aged 2-4
  • are Pregnant
  • have a long-term health condition such as:
    • a chest complaint or breathing difficulties, including asthma, bronchitis and emphysema
    • a heart complaint
    • kidney disease
    • diabetes
    • lowered immunity due to disease or treatment such as steroid medication or cancer treatment
    • if you have had a stroke or a transient ischaemic attack (TIA)
    • if you have a problem with your spleen or you have had your spleen removed
  • are a carer for an elderly or disabled person

Children will normally be given the vaccine in a nasal spray.

There is a ramp from the car park into the surgery, and a separate toilet for the disabled with wheelchair access. We have two disabled car parking spaces at the front of the surgery. We have a portable hearing loop, obtainable from reception for use during consultation by patients with impaired hearing.
